Shot at the Sauer-Beckmann farm on the Lyndon B. Johnson State Park near Johnson City Texas. The Sauer farm was built around 1869 and the Beckmann in the early 1900's. Park ranger dress in period clothing and live and work the farm just as it would have been back in the day, without the luxuries of electricity, running water, or plumbing. They tend the animals and crops, cook on a wood stove and canned the vegetables they raise. Original photo by Nadalyn Larsen.
From the Artist: I am a photographer with an eclectic eye. I shoot anything that catches my attention, whether a detail of a larger object or the expanse of a landscape. When photographing places or events, I strive to convey the feeling or impression I felt from the experience as much as sharing the scene. I like to experiment with my art, particularly creating abstract photographs. I am challenged to take my photos from the seat of a mobility device. Despite my challenges, I have traveled throughout the US and internationally, capturing the world from my perspective. I hope you enjoy my work. Feel free to contact me through this site if you have questions or requests. Also, please feel free to comment on any work that you find...
