One of several shots I took of the Grand Canyon at sunrise through mid-morning. Photo editing was an attempt to impart the feeling I had at the time when viewing the scene as opposed to a thoroughly realistic image. One of the things I was taken by were the numerous dead tree skeletons that hug precariously to the canyon rim. They were particularly beautiful in the dim light of dawn, black against the red canyon below. Original photo by Nadalyn Larsen.
From the Artist: I am a photographer with an eclectic eye. I shoot anything that catches my attention, whether a detail of a larger object or the expanse of a landscape. When photographing places or events, I strive to convey the feeling or impression I felt from the experience as much as sharing the scene. I like to experiment with my art, particularly creating abstract photographs. I am challenged to take my photos from the seat of a mobility device. Despite my challenges, I have traveled throughout the US and internationally, capturing the world from my perspective. I hope you enjoy my work.
