Thanks for your continued support, Kay. Yes, it is a bit sad, but when I saw him, I couldn't let this profound moment pass without capturing it.

Beautiful capture, love the soft light. I've had some experience with the homeless and you are right, some stories are just not what you might expect.

Nadalyn Larsen replied:

Artist's Description

This homeless man was rifling through a trash bin when he stopped and stared into space. I wonder what he was thinking. I worked with homeless people for several years in one area of Los Angeles. It is an interesting culture. So many stories and not at all what one might think. Original photo by Nadalyn Larsen.

About Nadalyn Larsen

Nadalyn Larsen

From the Artist: I am a photographer with an eclectic eye. I shoot anything that catches my attention, whether a detail of a larger object or the expanse of a landscape. When photographing places or events, I strive to convey the feeling or impression I felt from the experience as much as sharing the scene. I like to experiment with my art, particularly creating abstract photographs. I am challenged to take my photos from the seat of a mobility device. Despite my challenges, I have traveled throughout the US and internationally, capturing the world from my perspective. I hope you enjoy my work. Feel free to contact me through this site if you have questions or requests. Also, please feel free to comment on any work that you find...
