An abandoned building in Bouquillas, Mexico, (pop. 250) across the border from Big Bend National Park in Texas. The town shut down after 9/11 and only reopened in 2013. The town was originally established in 1930 as an international peace park. It is well worth the time to visit on a trip to the park. The people are amazingly friendly and accommodating. From the Artist: I am a photographer with an eclectic eye. I shoot anything that catches my attention, whether a detail of a larger object or the expanse of a landscape. When photographing places or events, I strive to convey the feeling or impression I felt from the experience as much as sharing the scene. I like to experiment with my art, particularly creating abstract photographs. I am challenged to take my photos from the seat of a mobility device. Despite my challenges, I have traveled throughout the US and internationally, capturing the world from my perspective. I hope you enjoy my work. Feel free to contact me through this site if you have questions or requests. Also, please feel free to comment on any work that you find...
