Artist's Description
Second Line band in a New Orleans French Quarter parade. In a New Orleans street parade the group leading the parade and the brass band that accompanies them are considered the parade's "Main Line." The large group of revelers and onlookers who invariably follow along behind, enjoying the music and the social scene, are the "Second Line." Traditionally, Second Lines would form organically and without planning whenever a procession would take place. Original photograph by Nadalyn Larsen.
About Nadalyn Larsen
From the Artist: I am a photographer with an eclectic eye. I shoot anything that catches my attention, whether a detail of a larger object or the expanse of a landscape. When photographing places or events, I strive to convey the feeling or impression I felt from the experience as much as sharing the scene. I like to experiment with my art, particularly creating abstract photographs. I am challenged to take my photos from the seat of a mobility device. Despite my challenges, I have traveled throughout the US and internationally, capturing the world from my perspective. I hope you enjoy my work. Feel free to contact me through this site if you have questions or requests. Also, please feel free to comment on any work that you find...
