Artist's Description

The Rock of Cashel, aka St. Patrick's Rock and Cashel of the Kings. Reputedly the site of the conversion of Aenghus the King of Munster by St. Patrick in the 5th century AD. Long before the Norman invasion The Rock of Cashel was the seat of the High Kings of Munster, although there is little structural evidence of their time here. Most of the buildings on the current site date from the 12th and 13th centuries when the rock was gifted to the Church. The buildings represent both Hiberno-Romanseque and Germanic influences in their architecture. The artistry preserved in this structure is unparalleled. This is one of many medieval art faces adorning unique places in the architecture. Original photo by Nadalyn Larsen.

About Nadalyn Larsen

Nadalyn Larsen

From the Artist: I am a photographer with an eclectic eye. I shoot anything that catches my attention, whether a detail of a larger object or the expanse of a landscape. When photographing places or events, I strive to convey the feeling or impression I felt from the experience as much as sharing the scene. I like to experiment with my art, particularly creating abstract photographs. I am challenged to take my photos from the seat of a mobility device. Despite my challenges, I have traveled throughout the US and internationally, capturing the world from my perspective. I hope you enjoy my work. Feel free to contact me through this site if you have questions or requests. Also, please feel free to comment on any work that you find...
