Artist's Description

A long abandoned building at the ghost town of Rodney Mississippi founded in 1828. At one time it was almost made the capital of the Mississippi Territory. As it is prone to do, the Mississippi River, which was a life line for the town, changed course and the people gradually drifted away. In recent years, people have started bringing in mobile homes and living there again, but it is still a spooky place. Getting to Rodney was no small feat and an adventure in itself. Original photo by Nadalyn Larsen.

About Nadalyn Larsen

Nadalyn Larsen

From the Artist: I am a photographer with an eclectic eye. I shoot anything that catches my attention, whether a detail of a larger object or the expanse of a landscape. When photographing places or events, I strive to convey the feeling or impression I felt from the experience as much as sharing the scene. I like to experiment with my art, particularly creating abstract photographs. I am challenged to take my photos from the seat of a mobility device. Despite my challenges, I have traveled throughout the US and internationally, capturing the world from my perspective. I hope you enjoy my work. Feel free to contact me through this site if you have questions or requests. Also, please feel free to comment on any work that you find...
