This is Montclair, aka Monty. He is a resident, along with his mate and 2 cygnets, at my mother's retirement home. He is extremely temperamental and aggressive despite his beautiful and gentle appearance. His unfolding wings were so beautiful they reminded me of flower buds unfolding. From the Artist: I am a photographer with an eclectic eye. I shoot anything that catches my attention, whether a detail of a larger object or the expanse of a landscape. When photographing places or events, I strive to convey the feeling or impression I felt from the experience as much as sharing the scene. This is such an elegant image. I love the way the swan's feathers resemble the overlap of rose petals. It's a truly beautiful representation of the beauty in nature.
