Artist's Description
Lumbering is one of the largest industries in East Texas. This fully operational sawmill is located on US Hwy 59 south of Nacogdoches, Texas. It was raining the day I took this shot but the mill was still cranking. This mill operates almost the same as sawmills have for the last couple of centuries. Original photo by Nadalyn Larsen.
About Nadalyn Larsen
From the Artist: I am a photographer with an eclectic eye. I shoot anything that catches my attention, whether a detail of a larger object or the expanse of a landscape. When photographing places or events, I strive to convey the feeling or impression I felt from the experience as much as sharing the scene. I like to experiment with my art, particularly creating abstract photographs. I am challenged to take my photos from the seat of a mobility device. Despite my challenges, I have traveled throughout the US and internationally, capturing the world from my perspective. I hope you enjoy my work. Feel free to contact me through this site if you have questions or requests. Also, please feel free to comment on any work that you find...

Nadalyn, this is a really nice shot that reminds me of East Texas. Could you tell me approximately when this was shot? Year? I look forward to acquiring a print for my wall.
Nadalyn Larsen replied:
Thank you, Robert! I'm so glad you like it. I believe I took this photo in the winter of 2013. I will be happy to assist with getting you a print. It would be an honor to have my work hanging on YOUR wall.
