The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The griffin, griffon, or gryphon is a legendary creature with the body, tail, and back legs of a lion; the head and wings of an eagle; and an eagle's talons as its front feet. The griffin was thought to be a powerful and majestic creature. The griffin was sometimes thought of as the king of all creatures. Griffins were often depicted guarding treasure.

When photographing places or events, I strive to convey the feeling or impression I felt from the experience as much as sharing the scene.
