Artist's Description
The Rio Grande River view from Bouquillas, Mexico, (pop. 250) across the border from Big Bend National Park in Texas. Big Bend is in the Chihauhaun desert. This section of the Rio Grande is often dry or has very little water in it. That's why this was such a special sight. The sky was an amazing intense blue that reflected in the water. The town shut down after 9/11 and only reopened in 2013. The town was originally established in 1930 as an international peace park. It is well worth the time to visit on a trip to the park. The people are amazingly friendly and accommodating. Original photo by Nadalyn Larsen.

From the Artist: I am a photographer with an eclectic eye. I shoot anything that catches my attention, whether a detail of a larger object or the expanse of a landscape. When photographing places or events, I strive to convey the feeling or impression I felt from the experience as much as sharing the scene.
