Sweny�s Pharmacy is featured and described in geat detail in James Joyce�s Ulysses. Nothing has changed much from this description. Today, Sweny�s is maintained by volunteers, who not only presere the shop as it was in Joyce�s time; but also sell a selection of second-hand books, providing the perfect location for reading Joyce�s works and sell the lemon-scented soap that made the shop famous:" Mr Bloom raised a cake to his nostrils. From the Artist: I am a photographer with an eclectic eye. I shoot anything that catches my attention, whether a detail of a larger object or the expanse of a landscape. When photographing places or events, I strive to convey the feeling or impression I felt from the experience as much as sharing the scene. I like to experiment with my art, particularly creating abstract photographs. I am challenged to take my photos from the seat of a mobility device. Despite my challenges, I have traveled throughout the US and internationally, capturing the world from my perspective. I hope you enjoy my work.
