Description
This homeless man was rifling through a trash bin when he stopped and stared into space. I wonder what he was thinking. I worked with homeless people for several years in one area of Los Angeles. It is an interesting culture. So many stories and not at all what one might think. Original photo by Nadalyn Larsen.

Thanks for your continued support, Kay. Yes, it is a bit sad, but when I saw him, I couldn't let this profound moment pass without capturing it.

Congratulations on your win in my contest. It is a quality piece that you can be proud of. I wish that the subject matter didn't happen but that is a part of our world. Johnny

Beautiful capture, love the soft light. I've had some experience with the homeless and you are right, some stories are just not what you might expect.
Nadalyn Larsen replied:
Thank you so much, Melissa! Nice to meet someone who has shared my experience. I'm glad you like my portrait. It is one of my favorites.
